I am an avid reader. I am, also, an active crocheter. While I am doing crochet I like to read or watch shows. I created this book pillow so I could place my book on something and it remain upright. This can also be used with a phone/tablet.

Materials Needed:
Size J 6.00 Crochet Hook
6 weight yarn (I used Bernat Blanket yarn)
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Stitch marker
Polyfil
Stitches Used (US Terms)
hdc – Half Double crochet
Join – slip stitch to the first stitch
Inc-Increase
Dec - decrease
Ch – Chain Stitch
Sl – Slip Stitch
This pattern is worked in the round! Use a stitch marker at the beginning of each round.

Row 1: 8 hdc in first ch (8 hdc)
Row 2: Hdc inc around (16 hdc)
Row 3: 1 hdc, hdc inc around (24 hdc)
Row 4: 2 hdc, hdc inc around (32 hdc)
Row 5: 3 hdc, hdc inc around (40 hdc)
Row 6: 4 hdc, hdc inc around (48 hdc)
Row 7: 5 hdc, hdc inc around (56 hdc)
Row 8: 6 hdc, hdc inc around (64 hdc)
Row 9: 64 Hdc around (64 hdc)
Row 10: 64 Hdc around (64 hdc)
Row 11: *hdc, hdc dec* 8 times, 40 hdc around (56 hdc)
Row 12: *hdc, hdc dec* 6 times, 38 hdc around (50 hdc)
Row 13: 50 hdc around (50 hdc)
Row 14: 50 hdc around (50 hdc)
Row 15: 6 hdc, 4 hdc dec, 36 hdc (46 hdc)
Row 16: 46 hdc around (46 hdc)
Row 17: 5 hdc, 5 hdc dec, 31 hdc (41 hdc)
Row 18: 41 hdc for 6 rows (41 hdc)
Row 19: *hdc, hdc dec* around (26 hdc)
Row 20: 26 hdc around (26 hdc)
Row 21: Hdc dec around (13 hdc)
Stuff with polyfil.
Sew closed
Use a bit of yarn to add an indent to the bottom for the book to sit on.
